Sequins are the most perfect embellishment for a holiday project. They add a  sparkly, happy attitude that can't come any other way. You can add sequins to quilts, pillows, stockings, tree skirts, clothing, foam balls, or any other project that you want make special. 

Hold sequins in place with a small bead. Bring the needle up through the fabric, sequin, and a bead. Send the needle back down through the hole in the sequin to the back of the fabric. The bead holds the sequin in place. OR bring the needle up through the hole and down at the edge of the sequin, letting thread show. Either works.
